Mainline has been established since 1981 starting with 3 cars and now proudly boasting a fleet of over 70 vehicles able to carry between 1 to 8 people at a time.

We have always operated a 24 hour service with our offices manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by operators. We run at single time all year with the exception of Christmas and New Years.

We run and operate the world’s leading bookings and dispatch system allowing us to offer you the customer many advantages and innovative ways to book your taxi requirements.

These include E-Book, a fast and simple internet booking screen enabling you to book direct on to our dispatch screen, giving you direct access to both booking and dispatch information at the click of a button.

We offer the leading I.V.R. (Interactive Voice Response) booking system enabling you if so require to book direct to dispatch for your immediate requirements.

We also offer a very comprehensive range of account packages to suit all customers from basic single accounts to our larger corporate clients with many different departments requiring their own sub accounts.

Accounts are available subject to status and can be billed weekly or monthly and when used with E-Book system accounts can be controlled and viewed daily without need to contact us with your own private and secure login name and code.


We do of course have the good old fashioned but highly trained operators ready to take your calls and answer any queries or enquiries you may have and to take bookings.

All our cars have the latest in car systems with integral satellite navigation allowing them to enter any street or destination in U.K.

Every driver is uniformed, easy to spot and trained both with N.V.Q. and B.T.EC. Qualifications. Further to this we guarantee every vehicle within Mainline is pre-shift safety checked before starting work, something you will not find in any other company within Harrogate, giving you both peace of mind that every car or bus booked through Mainline is safe and compliant for you , your staff, and customers.

All drivers working through mainline are under a service contract governing both rules and regulations insisted upon by Mainline Taxi Association, ensuring that we can deliver the very best of service to all customers using Mainline Taxis. The rules and regulations covered within this contract ensure no driver covers more than a 12 hour shift, with mileage restrictions for all drivers within the last two hours of their shifts, making sure fresh drivers are used on any distance work. Safety is always paramount within our company ensuring all companies that use our service can rest assured they are safe directing both their staff and clients to us.

At Mainline we believe first and foremost in duty of care to both our staff and all our clients, as we believe you will, and by using Mainline you are assured we not only have safety procedures in place but hard copy records to show all steps have been taken to ensure this.
